Children with Autism Eid celebration
The Al-Awda Center in Tulkarm Refugee Camp operates a unique school for children with autism—one of the few of its kind in the northern West Bank. The school provides specialized education, daily meals, and a supportive environment where children can learn, grow, and express themselves. For over a decade, the Palestine Aid Society – Detroit Chapter has supported this program by funding facility renovations, updating educational and visual learning tools, providing essential equipment, and covering the cost of daily breakfasts and lunches during school hours. In addition, the chapter has supported Eid initiatives for the students, including providing new clothing and organizing celebratory events so they can share in the joy of the holiday alongside their peers. We invite you to support the continuation of this vital program, which helps ease the burden on families while ensuring dignified and consistent care for this important segment of the community.
