Ongoing conflict and displacement in Gaza have left many families without consistent access to food, forcing them to rely on emergency assistance for daily survival. In response, the Palestine Aid Society – Detroit Chapter, in coordination with local partners and grassroots organizations, supports hot meal distribution programs that provide freshly prepared meals to displaced families and individuals in shelters and camps. These efforts ensure that the most vulnerable—especially children and the elderly—receive nutritious meals during times of crisis. 46,000 meals in Gaza and 15,000 in the West Bank were distributed in 2024 and 27,500 in Gaza in 2025.
